Don't forget hedgehogs on Bonfire Night.

A bonfire pile looks like a ready-made home to a hedgehog seeking a safe winter nest to hibernate in. They have no idea of the danger.

1. Move the pile to a clear site just before lighting.
2. Lift the base and check for hedgehogs.
3. If clear, light it from one side only.
